Having sailed Princess, Royal Carib. and Norwegian we wanted to give Celebrity a try and are we glad we did. Celebrity you have some new fans!!!!! Yes the Summit is an older ship and doesn't have all the bru ha ha of the newer ships but she makes up for it in so many other ways. Can't say enough about the staff, friendly, outgoing and accommodating. The food was excellent both the dining room and garden cafe, always something good to choose. Sure didn't loose any weight!Ouch The shows were very good and the activities so much fun, never laughed so much thanks to Justin and Mark, they should be cloned. I only wish Celebrity had more cruises leaving the northeast area. We would love to try one of their newer ships.
We sailed the Quantum in March and were not happy with it. Too much emphasis on reservations. We want to go on a vacation and relax, not worry about making a reservation and walk into dinner or shows on a "first come first serve" because for many reasons, too tired, late dinner, shore excursion getting back a little later then expected, etc. things and times change and one wants to be free to make the decision of "when to eat, when to go to the show", can't do that on the Quantum. The Summit was all that and more. Love Celebrity and we sure will be sailing them in the future.
Plenty of room. Always kept in tiptop shape by our attendant.
