This was our first and last experience of P&O. I had read the negative reviews before we left but was determined to go with an open mind. How bad can the lifts really be I thought? I was going to go on this cruise and walk everywhere! Not until you actually board the ship do you realise that this is IMPOSSIBLE. And the lifts really are THAT BAD!

Embarkation – horrific. Anyone who had signed up for car parking was forced to wait in a car park for over an hour before being allowed access to the terminal. Drop offs were allowed to go straight into the terminal. Get dropped if you can. It took 3 hours from arrival before we boarded the ship. Not a very relaxing start to the holiday!

Food – disappointing. Poor service in the Meridian (freedom dining) restaurant. Uninspiring menu. Uninspiring food when it eventually arrived. Sindhu was a particular low point. The slowest service. Had to ask for menus after we had been seated for 20 minutes! Food resembled and tasted like a microwaved ready meal. At £20 each, don’t waste your money eating here. We tried to get into the Limelight club/Epicurean restaurant but they were fully booked from early on in the cruise.
