We just got back from a nice family vacation on the Breeze. In our group we had 4 adults and 2 teenagers (ages 14 & 15) my husband and myself, along with our two teenage children in one cabin and my brother-in-law and his brother in another. I would say this vacations was "excellent" in regards to family time and activities and "average" when it actually came to the Breeze itself.

We were able to snatch up FTTF, which made our embarking process very nice and the check-in process went smoothly and was uneventful. All of our luggage was all at our room waiting for us when we boarded.

We stayed in a balcony cabin (8354) which was mid/port. To our surprise the cabin seems smaller then those on other ships (Glory and Destiny), not sure it if is actually smaller square footage or just the configuration. The location of our cabin was nice, and we didn't have any issues with smokers/noise or privacy out on our balcony, our balcony did look down over the smoking deck (deck 5) but like I stated, we did not have any issues with smoke. It was also in a great location for getting to places on the ship. Our #1 complaint was the sewer smell in our bathroom that came and went throughout the trip. We did have a few issues with our room steward throughout the cruise, when we first boarded our bathroom had not been cleaned (which he came in right way to clean). We also had to ask 3-4 times to have our mini-fridge emptied before he remembered to do it. He also "forgot" to do turn down service a few nights. This was our first cruise we EVER had an issue with our room steward, we have always had excellent service before. Very shocking to us.

Port Reviews

Miami

We stayed at the Hilton on Blue Lagoon Drive, Miami. It was a lovely hotel in a great location. We liked the free shuttle to/from the airport. There was a Publix grocery store a mile away, for picking up drinks and snacks for our cruise. We used Quality Limo Service for our transportation to/from the Port of Miami.

Grand Turk

We enjoyed the morning walking the beach and finding shells at the conch graveyard (short walk right of the ship). We then walked down to Jack's Shack (down a little ways left of the ship) and had a BLAST! The water was beautiful, staff was amazing, food was yummy and the drinks were strong :)
