This was our first time with P&O and it was not what we expected ... we cruised before on Royal Caribbean( Indep.of the Seas ) and Grand PRincess . The Ventura is the same size as the Grand PRincess , the room was very nice we had a balcony room on Lido deck and was lovely .We dined in the Buffett restaurants and in Saffron which was nothing special . The buffet restaurants are ok : the food choice is limited comparing with other ships we have been on , food not hot and very repetitive which was disappointing .... the Saffron was so desapointing I can't describe .... First the staff are so miserable, long faces, do not enjoy their jobs, not friendly... no smiles , POOR SERVICE ! the food was just warm , the smallest portions I have ever seen ... nothing special !!! The shows we really enjoyed "Junnk" and "Destination Dance"... Comparing with other cruise ships P&O have got a lot of work to do... it left a bitter taste and we will not return on VEntura or any other P&O ships ....
