We had 5 people in our Family Vacation. Carnival Breeze fit our schedule. Had been on Carnival once before ( average ) . We have cruised ( 7 times ) on most major lines. The ship is very nice. Cabins are small but organized well. Enough room - we had a balcony on the eighth floor. My daughters were right next to us in an adjoining room. Started out bad as carnival destroyed my biggest piece of luggage. Another trip to guest services - they did replace it ( one thing they did right ). I booked the first evening dining with the Steakhouse. It is very expensive ( 35 dollars more per person - plus the amount you paid ahead for the dining room ). But - it was to kick off a family vacation - so we did.

DISSAPOINTED - Staff was un-attentive - food quality and quantity was below the main dining room. They served us items completely different from their menu description. Have you had a shrimp cocktail plastered with avocado ?? no mention in the menu- sent it back - shrimps lived up to their name - SMALL. My daughters have allergies - SO - we are very careful to order correctly. Their menu is useless. Minor descriptions - then the food is different. Luckily my daughters are very diligent. They can usually tell if the food has items they can't eat. Lobster tail was small. BTW - don't ask for another one - it is an EXTRA 20 dollars. I had surf and turf - filet was small about 2.5 oz. No drawn butter served with the small lobster tail. Drawn butter was adulterated with citrus ?? never had that either. Sent it back again. My wife had the Filet - it was the only meal served and prepared correctly. I complained to the staff - the manager - guest services. NO satisfaction. Do Not go to the Steakhouse - NO one that works there has ever been to a real Steakhouse - SO if you enjoy Morton's, David Burke - or similar - SAVE your money !!

Sorry that over-shadowed the cruise - BUT it did. Main dining room - much better quality and quantity - Much better staff. No extra charge. Other quick food areas were very good. They make great pizza 24 hours a day
