Despite reading very poor reports about the quality of service on board the Star prior to leaving Australia, I have nothing but the highest commendations about our recent 23 day voyage from Miami, across the Atlantic & around the Baltic Sea. The cruise exceeded all our expectations & I have no hesitation in rating 10 out of 10 for all the scenarios in which we were involved.

Without doubt the major issue on board was the warmth, friendliness & sincerity of the entire ship's staff. No issue was too great or small -their service made one feel you were their sole concern. It was a sheer delight to be surrounded by such charming people.

Perhaps the next most important issue was one of hygiene & cleanliness throughout the entire ship. From sanitising ones hands every time you entered an eating area, to removing used plates,crockery from tables, replenishing clean utensils,to ensuring floors& gangways were free of discarded waste the entire ship was always impeccably clean & tidy.
