Sail Date: Apr 2015
Cabin: Yacht Club Deluxe Suite

We have never had the time to do a Transatlantic cruise before, so when we saw a MSC Divina Yacht Club offer at an excellent price we jumped at it, a 21 night cruise from Miami to Rome with a night stop over in New York, and a chance to compare the Yacht Club to the NCL Haven.

Embarkation was easy, 15 minutes after arriving at the port we were in our cabin. It was slightly bigger than a standard balcony cabin, a huge double bed, desk and dressing table, coffee table and double settee. Welcome additions were the walk-in wardrobe, huge amount of cupboard space and the lovely bathroom with a proper bath, powerful shower and masses of storage. The mini-bar was included in the price, as were all drinks at the YC bars.

The Yacht Club area itself was very nice, we had a lounge and sun deck/pool area, both with buffets, we used both for breakfast according to the weather. The service was wonderful. We also had dedicated gangplanks in the USA, that stopped when we got to The Azores.

Cabin Review

Yacht Club Deluxe Suite

Cabin YC1

Lovely cabin, a little bigger than a standard balcony cabin with a little walk-in wardrobe and best of all a free mini-bar, sweets as well. Bathroom had a proper bath and powerful over bath shower and loads of storage. The balcony was average, upset to see cigarette burns on the chairs and footstool/table, it looked a little shabby.

Port Reviews

Lisbon

Been to Lisboa loads of times, its a wonderful place. A lot of Photo opportunities and wonderfully scenic city. The shopping is great, all the big names, but loads of individual boutiques as well. I bought silver jewellery for our daughter , BIG silver jewellery and it was so one off and at a really great price I was really pleased.

Seville

Cadiz has different coloured walks painted on the lovely streets, we followed the orange and purple walks, a lovely day out. We lost the purple line at one stage and had a great time finding it again, it did take a bar or 2 but we found it !.

New York (Manhattan)

What can anyone say about New York !. A wonderful city. We had 2 full days there. We parked the boat at Manhattan, just get off and within minutes in Times Square. The High Line walk was wonderful, as was the garment district.

Miami

hot hot hot, it was a lovely place but 106 F and a 110 humidity by 10 in the morning was too much for me. Our hotel on Washington was great though, a little 1930's but updated.
