My husband and I came on this cruise for our honeymoon. Initial thought was they are very affordable. I booked a hotel with a customer service representative through carnival. We stayed at Doubletree Hilton hotel which was about 5-7 miles from the Tampa port. We were able to have our car parked on Hilton's secured parking deck for the duration of our trip which was much cheaper and safer than parking at the port. Doubletree was able to contact a taxi and had it ready for us the morning of the cruise. The staff on this cruise was amazing. So friendly! Knew all of our names after meeting us once! Dining was indescribable. Had lobster with prime rib one night. Our server, George, was probably the best server I have ever had in my life. So friendly and him and my husband truly hit it off. Everyone in the staff was from another country which kept it interesting. There was a staff member, Ivan, who was from Croatia which is next to where my husband is from and they became quite close. It really felt like a little family after awhile. Our stewartist was Gusti and he was awesome. He made little animals and other cool origami with towels and left them in our room and we would see them after dinner. The comedy shows were hysterical!!!!!! Probably the most exciting thing to do on the ship. I would recommend this to anyone!! By far the most fun, while still affordable vacation you can do.
