I just read a very disturbing, negative review of Jewel of the Seas. Contrary t o that review, we had the most wonderful experience ON THE SAME CRUISE.. We were suite guests and our cabin steward was superior! Diego was one of the best concierge 's I've met. He was always helpful and accommodating, going above and beyond to take care of our needs! The Schooner Bar was, as always, the best bar on the ship! The bartenders became our friends. We go on cruises to relax. We met and conversed with many lovely people. And after excursions, yes, the Windjammer was the only place to get something to eat. But all we really needed was sandwiches or pizza, which we would take to our deck chairs (which were never difficult to find). Service at the Tides was exceptional, specialty restaurants had delicious entrees. We really don't do much nighttime activity because, as stated earlier, we came to relax! Granted, not many kids or 20-30 year Olds on this cruise, but we were fine with that! This was one of the most relaxing cruises I've been on. I love this class of ships and would love to take an Alaskan cruise this year to hang out with the same Royal Caribbean employees we met and loved!
