This was my 5th Royal Caribbean Cruise.I didn't get the opportunity to go on the Oasis when she was in europe, so when I found out about the Allure, I didn't want to miss cruising her!The ships just had a partial re-furbish. It's may be the largest in the world, but we never felt it was crowded . Every thing is well organised and there's lots of activities going on at all times, all over the ship. The food was good, with lots of variety. The Allures crew are very proud to be on her and it shows. The shows onboard are fantastic! The Oceanaria is the most spectacular thing I've ever seen at sea! Don't be put off by the size of this vessel, every where has interactive screens to help you find your way round! And you'll probably start to find that there's areas that are you favourite to hang out in! We were only on a 5 day cruise, but we got to know it inside out! We ate at 50 Central and had a lovely meal, although I think the chefs onboard need to study more the taste buds of Europeans/Mediterranean's, as we need to be more impressed, given that we have well "educated palates! "

We took out the drinks packages -Select and Premium and as we were always onboard (didn't do excursions, as we have visited the itineraries before & it was all about knowing the ship) so the packages worked out great and saved us loads! It's also nice to not worry about which or how many drinks you can afford? ! I hate having to budget and plan where and when to have a drink each day! I can highly recommend the Allure!

Cabin Review

Cabin balcony forward

Clean, spacious and peaceful.Excellent views of from left to right of our fellow neighbours, our side of the ship.No noise or bad smells.Friendly, attentive Room Steward!

Port Reviews

Barcelona

We have visited Barcelona on four occasions so didn't book anything on this cruise. But we've done RCI excursions and they're excellent value to suit all budgets.

Rome (Civitavecchia)

Civitavecchia is an old port and needs bringing into the 21st century!

We've done RCI excursions before, but not on this particular cruise.

I'm not too keen on Rome, but maybe that's to do with me living in Málaga Spain!

Naples

We've not visited Naples.I live in Spain and have seen documentaries about it..It can be un - safe, so we preferred not to visit ashore.Ok, it's home of the pizza, and there's a famous Pizzeria there, where you order your preferred slice and sit on a long bench table, elbow to elbow with fellow 'Diners'..but that's not appealing enough to make me want to pay for an excursions in Naples!
