Reading some of the previous reviews we approached this short cruise with extreme caution! We last cruised on Explorer over 10 years ago and have since cruised on many other RCCL ships of different sizes, durations and destinations. We've also completed plenty of short break cruises, so were under no illusion as to the clientele on board!

Saying this I do worry about RCCL devaluing the brand and actually putting people off future cruises, as this is effectively a 'booze cruise' with a distinctly noisy and party crowd that you really wouldn't want to spend 10 days on a transatlantic with!

Arriving around 2pm the parking and check-in was seamless and faultless. Straight to the staterooms, the only time to bother arriving!

Cabin Review

Owner's Suite

Cabin OS

Great new upholstery and overall a super cabin.

The shape of the lounge/bedroom means the balcony is surprisingly small. We have had bigger balconies on less expensive categories. There is only a small table and 2 chairs!

The bathroom is luxurious in an 1980's kinda way, although it's very clean and functional.

Stateroom attendent was superb, as you would hope.
