We are first time cruisers and were given an incredible opportunity to be treated to a free cruise courtesy of my boyfriends work for long term service. 42 of us were in the party and although I can't speak for everyone - we had the most amazing time! We loved the whole aspect of cruising and can't wait to do it again! The staff were all so friendly and always had a smile on their face and were so nice to talk to when we asked some of them about working on the ship.

Getting on and off the ship was really fast and seemed very well organized and even though the day we went to Cannes was very rocky ( the only day we actually could feel the ship moving) and took us a long time to get back on the ship there was no issues.

The food was great - we tried a few specially restaurants on top of the ones that were included, namely, Teppenyaki, La Cucina, Moderno and the Cirque du Soeil Show/ dinner ( which was great!) and we enjoyed all the meals, we didn't have any issues with the food not being hot enough( some reviews complained about that) or the service not good but we had no complaints at all.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BB

We loved the cabin- we didn't find any issues with the way the room was laid out at all and thought the bed was one of the more comfortable beds we ever slept on! Having a balcony was a huge bonus- it was lovely having a drink looking out at the sea every night and watching the stars come out. And of course pulling into port every day and seeing the amazing scenery change everyday was fantastic. Our room steward, Michael, was so amazing - very friendly and couldn't do enough for uu, The storage in the room was great too. I did bring a power bar and was glad I did as there is only one outlet as so many other reviews had mentioned- we also brought extra hangers ( other reviews had mentioned not many hangers) but we didn't need them- and the closet space was great - myself and my boyfriend had a closet each which was really nice. You couldn't hear anything from the other rooms at all and we found it very quiet- great location on the ship overall.

Port Reviews

Barcelona

We loved Barcelona! Incredible city and so vibrant - tons of culture! Must see is the Sagrada Familia Church - truly beautiful! We were lucky enough to be treated to a nights stay in Barcelona so it was amazing to walk all through the streets and see some of this amazing city on the hop on and off bus - which I would highly recommend!

Rome (Civitavecchia)

The port is over an hour from Rome so unfortunately you are very stuck for time as you lose almost 3 hours travel time but we saw the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain which was bring restored so not working when we went but still amazing to see. We also saw the Colliseum which is such a historical monument that you can't help but think his on earth they built it all those years ago! We walked a lot and found the city to be very busy although people told us it was even busier in the summer which was hard to believe. Overall I found it to be a rap tourist trap with very aggressive salesman trying to sell tickets for anything and everything - mostly for the Vatican, so much so that it was a little off putting, but it was lovely to see Rome, although not sure if I would go back.

Cannes

The film festival was on when we visited Cannes so the city was busy but we really enjoyed it. We walked through the new and old parts of Cannes and it was lovely!

Palma de Mallorca (Majorca)

Absolutely loved Palma de Mallorca! Lovely shops to walk through and very pretty place - we found some lovely jewellery and thoroughly enjoyed this lovely jewel in the Meditteranean!
