We booked this cruise for the ports and were not disappointed (7 day Mediterranean from Barcelona). This was our first cruise on NCL and most likely our last. The entertainment on the ship was outstanding. The music and the theatre productions were excellent.

I do not consider free style cruising to mean having to make reservations for dining and entertainment. Walking through the casino which smelled like smoke was not very appealing. I expected that there would be a port lecturer or at least a paper port guide on the ship. There was neither. If you didn't do your homework you were at a loss for information. We had planned our own independent tours so this was not a problem for us but still something that should have been provided as a courtesy to the passengers.

We had only one tendered port. The loading of the tender to return to port was overcrowded. We were one of the last one's to get on the tender and were told to find a seat as we couldn't leave without everyone seated. None of the crew made any attempt to help us find a seat or move us to anther tender. This was a definite safety issue.
