Enjoyed this cruise but don't book cabin E215 if you like going to bed early. Cabin is above main theatre and you can hear thumping noise (drums presumably) with every performance. This also included afternoon rehearsals which normally started around about 4.0pm. We were not too bothered as we attended the late night quiz every evening and the shows finished at 11.30p.m but if you want an early night this is a cabin to avoid! Apart from that the cabin is fine with plenty of light. Everything else was of a normal high standard. Had freedom dining and met many interesting fellow travellers.

Port & Shore Excursion Reviews

  • Madeira (Funchal)
Very clean and plenty to see and do. Shuttle bus available but we prefer to walk. Lovely park, plenty of shops including a MacDonalds with seating and parasols on the front and the cheapest lattes (served in proper glasses) that I have ever had. Close to the chair lift is market with stalls selling genuine hand made arts and crafts. Open top sight seeing bus and of course chair lift and downhill toboggan run. All in all a very nice place to stop.

  • Malaga
We enjoy Malaga very much. We never use shuttle bus as we like to walk and are quite capable of covering the miles. Nice clean town and beach available for families. Plenty of shops and nice park areas. If you can manage the climb up to park the views are excellent and plenty to photograph including view of bullring. Might be a bus up but not sure, worth checking if walking is a problem.
