best cruise ever! best ta (of 10 previous ) ever! all staff were attentive and immediately responsive to any issues. the airlines (independently booked) sent one of our bags to orlando instead of miami, and terance at guest rellations worked miracles to track it down and get it picked up from the airport by another celebrity employee before the shipped sailed. other minor issues were always addressed and resolved immediately! food both up in oceanview and in the dining room was much better than last year's constellation ta. no more rolls passed at dinner, but wait staff lightening fast.. This year they charged for some of the ipad classes, unlike last year. wifi painfully slow during the day.
we were not particularly impressed with the booked entertainment. delisco was horrible, the female impersonator singer was a disaster, and as usual the celebrity singers and dancers were only high school quality. the celebrity band was outstanding. what made this a stand-out cruise for me was pianist/singer/entertainer perry grant. i discovered him on the third night of the cruise and sat through every show after that (i think that was 11) that he gave from start to finish. hands down a jewel of an entertainer, witty, talented, creative, and always hysterically funny. Too bad celebrity has let him get away after the summer cruising season is over (he is going back to princess). I will have to consider Princess in the future....,,,,
This was an adequate, typical Deluxe Ocean View with a veranda cabin for the Solstice class ships. More closet space would be nice, but it works for two people well enough. Nice pillow top mattress, an improvement from a couple of years ago. Pillows are not particularly soft or pliable, but okay. Great location, quiet, close to central stairs or elevators.
