When we saw that the Veendam was docking in Hamilton we booked immediately! Love the Holland America line love Bermuda. (we've also gone to Bermuda on Celebrity Summit, Norwegian Dawn and Royal Caribbean Jewel of the Seas) They were all excellent cruises and the Veendam was fine too.
SERVICE, DINING, ENTERTAINMENT: Service was top notch in all areas and the ship was very clean. We did find that the food in the main dining room didn't meet our expectations. On a scale of 1-10 husband and I rated it a 7. (We've sailed HA before and found their food was 9.5, but were a little disappointed this time) We ate breakfast and lunch at the Lido buffet and found breakfast to be a 10. Lunch was good with many choices. The entertainment was excellent as well.
EMBARKATION, DISEMBARKATION: Both getting on and off the ship was a 10. Very well organized. We arrived at Black Falcon at 11:30, and were in our room by 12:15. Our luggage arrived before 1PM, we were very impressed! Leaving the ship was very well organized as well and our luggage was found with no problem.
Cabin Review
Large Interior Stateroom
Inside cabin was perfect size, and had plenty of storage space. (We even had 4 unused drawers) Shower was perfect, bathroom...not too small with plenty of storage. Bed very comfortable, room was on the cold side, and thermostat didn't seem to work, but I'd rather it be cooler than too warm) This was a great location (deck 9) we'd grab this one again if we were to go back on the Veendam. Room was very clean and room attendants were awesome!
