I purchased the free cruise $59 a person for port fees etc. I got very scared after reading reviews and doing research. I live in jacksonville fl so it wasn't a huge drive. I decided to take a chance and me and my husband did this for our anniversary. This was a first cruise experience for both of us. We had to go to the welcome center that was pass the port on our driving route and then drive back up. I asked several times on the phone if there would be a seminar or time share etc they said no. When we arrived at the welcome center the people in line ahead of us were throwing a fit because they were saying they had to do a 2 hr timeshare and they were complaining saying they were told they didn't have to do one so we were getting very worried and angry however when we got up there we were told we didn't have a timeshare to do because all we were doing was cruising we did not book a hotel so if you don't book the hotel package and you only do the cruise package you don't have to do a timeshare.

The cruise was great we had a wonderful time the ship was nice food was excellent and we took a taxi cab to the Bahamas beach because it's a lot cheaper than the excursion packages they try to sell you the taxi was only $10 round-trip per person we did have a great time would do it again The cruise itself was great if you don't want to do a timeshare and you're coming from far away I would recommend booking your own hotel. We took this trip in February 2015 and it was a great time. Plus with all the food being free we only spent about a total of $220 but if you souvenirs some pictures and a couple of drinks that have a 15% gratuity added on and a $19 oil surcharge fee per person per day. And the cabin was nice it seemed like a king size bed and it was comfy. There's a bathroom with shower etc pretty roomy room compared to what some people said on here but this was our first cruise so not sure what other ships rooms are like

Port Reviews

Freeport

There isn't anything at the port. You will have to take a taxi cab to the shopping and a little beach access area not exactly what I pictured the Bahamas but it was nice we did go to the beach and swim in the water we didn't do any of the extra excursions as we were on a money budget but it was still fun lots of little shops and dining
