My wife and I are in our mid-60's, fairly active and long time experienced cruisers.
Whether you've previously been to Hawaii, or not, this is the easiest and best way to see the Hawaiian Islands.
An important concept to remember about this cruise is that Hawaii is the MAIN attraction. In reality, the Pride of America is nothing more then a good, upscale ferry service between ports. Why? because there are no sea days and the majority of shore excursions start early AM and don't return until 5 PM. So, unless you are physically unable to or don't want to get off the ship to see the beautiful Islands ( if that's the case you might as well stay home) you will be on the ship just for dinner, drinks and late night entertainment.
We booked a deck 8 aft balcony. Being way aft of the ship there was a noticeable shudder not bad enough to interfere with sleeping. Room was smaller then comparable rooms on other ships but we didn't care. We didn't spend much time in the room. Furniture were in good shape, closet space was sufficient. Bathroom sink fixtures showed wear and tear. Shower was excellent. Water flow was strong and temperature was easily adjustable.
Standard balcony with 2 chairs and small table.
Cabin service was good. Room steward was pleasant and helpful
