This was our 3rd Carnival cruise and the best one so far. I read many of the reviews here after booking this cruise and thought we had made a mistake with this ship. I guess we are either not as particular as some people or Carnival has made improvements because we had a wonderful time. It is just my wife and I traveling so we purposely try to sail around this time of the year as it makes for a more adult experience, with fewer children on board.

Embarkation - was quick and efficient, 20 minutes from drop off until we boarded the ship.

We found the layout of the ship simple to navigate. Really like the understated design of this ship compared to others in Carnival's fleet. Our favorite place to eat breakfast, lunch and on a few occasions dinner was back in the Havana Bar. Grab your food from the Lido Marketplace and head back for a great view as you are leaving/entering port or just sailing away. There are always plenty of seats. The sports deck was nice. I utilized the track almost every morning, one minor complaint would be the placement of the smokers area in relation to the track (cough, cough). We greatly appreciated the huge Serenity deck on the Sunshine, with it's hammocks and other shaded lounge chairs. We are early risers so we never had a problem getting the perfect spot.

Cabin 6D

Cabin was clean and well appointed. Our room steward was efficient. We had a problem with one of the cabinet doors falling off it's hinge when we embarked but it was quickly taken care of. Cabin was quiet and comfortable.
