This was our 2nd cruise with RCI. We normally cruise with Thomson. We had never sailed from Southampton before, but were very pleased with it, 15 minutes from getting off the bus from Leeds and on to the ship, and departing 10 minutes from leaving the ship to getting b ask on the bus for Leeds, who could ask for more than this. The cabin was large and had everything we needed. We found the food in the Windjammer fine, plenty of choice, and plenty of places to sit, but I have to admit the ship was not full. In the summer when it is full with 1000 children aboard, this does not need thinking about ! Food in the main dining room was ok, but for me on the last evening when they let a gentleman in with red shorts on was reducing standards, if it had not been for the last evening I would have complained.
We had free drinks package, which was fine and 200$ credit on board, which I spent on channel perfume ! Have seen better entertainment but the ice show was super. Some staff were friendly some were not. There were loads of mobility scooters shooting round all the decks all of the time. One problem was, even when the boat was not full is that there was no where to sit. Every seat was taken, and on the at sea days I took myself off to the cabin and read my book rather than stand up. Would we go on this ship again - yes, yes Yes
Lovely large window. Plenty of drawer space. Nice settee to sit on and watch the flats screen TV. Lovely shower with screen, not a curtain that attaches itself to you ! Nice to have tea and coffee making equipment. No coffee though was told you have to ask if you want this !
