First cruise for both me and the wife. Started in Galveston on Saturday 9 May. 2 ships in port boarding so things were packed. First mistake I think was pre-paying parking with port of Galveston, 2nd mistake coming into the port off of Harborview street directly off IH45. That road took an hour to go down and drop off the wife with bags at Terminal 2. Folks there is many parking opportunities and check your maps you can enter the terminal area coming in on alternate streets. Cruise terminal's AC was out, thank God we had priority boarding, but we paid out the WaZOO for it by purchasing a lame GS suite. You can You Tube it.

Went on cruise with open mind and thinking we were going to have a great time. Purchased a GS Suite which drove up the price around $800 total for both of us. Room had seen it's better days, but was spacious with a balcony.

Food was nothing I expected. Everything had a T-Rats taste to it. TV dinner like, except for the elegant dinner night where they served lobster. Was not impressed with food choices overall. Ended up eating greasy hamburgers from Guys burgers on the lido deck for three night and found that taking the food back to the room was the best option. Those burgers actually were not bad. They were OK. The seating areas for food were all dirty. The male help was trying to hit on the single women instead of cleaning the packed full dirty tables with dishes. I will say that by the looks, alot of people really enjoyed the food by the mountains of food heaped on the plates. For us, not so much, but we did not starve to death. I will say, that collectively, as Americans, we have let ourselves get out of shape. Go on a cruise if you want to get motivated to work out and get in shape. The visuals you will see on board will make you do it.
