This was our 2nd time on the Jade as we previously took the Adriatic Sea cruise last May.

We stayed in the Haven this time as opposed to Penthouse Suite from last year. During embarkation, we use the Villa Suites line and the process was pretty quick. We were then greeted by Bruno Dentone, the concierge. We previously had Bruno as concierge on the Jewel last year so he sorta remembered us. Unlike last year though, we had waiters take us to board the ship this time as opposed to our butler. We still got to board the ship in front of everyone else but I just thought it was interesting that we had waiters take us onboard instead. Unfortunately, our room wasn't quite ready yet so we just chilled in the deck 13 bar across from Cagneys (where you would typically find Bruno the concierge).

Our 2 bedroom Haven suite was really nice and I especially enjoyed the views from the main bathroom. There's nothing like looking out the window while showering and then drying yourself afterwards. The Haven Courtyard was also really nice although I really didn't spend all that much time in the courtyard. Benny, the Courtyard Butler, was also pretty nice and he would always greet us whenever we saw him. We actually never used him as we would always get food from Cagneys (breakfast and lunch) ourselves. I also enjoy the private deck on deck 14 tho I do kinda wish that we could use both sides instead of Port side only. It seems like the starboard side was being used by the 3 bedroom suites. Our butler Rufino was very nice and did a good job remembering our names. Miller, our cabin steward, was also very nice and would always greet us whenever we ran into him. Lastly, Bruno was an amazing concierge and he went above and beyond his duties to make things pleasant for us. Besides helping us book specialty dining on certain days, he would also make sure we got adequately fast service in whichever specialty dining restaurant. Bruno really looked out for us and we really appreciated that. Although concierge, butlers, and room stewards were friendly and nice, I couldn't say the same about the other Haven guests. You would think that by sharing the same courtyard for a week, people would be more friendly and approachable? Definitely NOT the case. I know Haven (and suite) guests get pampered in general but sometimes, I do wish that when we were staying in a mini-suite or balcony room, cabin stewards would also take the time to get to know our names and get to know us. My only small gripe about the Haven was that at times, it would take like 5-6 card inserts to finally open our cabin door.

Port Reviews

Venice

It is THE pedestrian city so prepare for a lot of walking. It's also easy to get lost so definitely have a map. It can also get pretty hot in May so put on a lot of sun screen and find shades when possible. Food and drinks will be pricier near St Mark's Square so protip, don't eat in St Mark's Square area if you wanna save money

Santorini

People say this is like one of the MOST photographed cities ever and they are right. Santorini is absolutely gorgeous and you must check out both Tyra and Oia. To get to Oia, you can take taxi or bus. Taxi will obviously be quicker but it will cost around 20 Euros. To get to the top of Tyra, you can take cable car, walk, or ride a donkey.

Corfu

You honestly don't need to take an excursion. You can take a bus into old Corfu for like 1,5 Euros one way and then explore from there. Do note that it cost money to climb the forts but you do get an amazing view of the city when you climb it.

Mykonos

You can take NCL's free shuttle to get to the main city..or you can walk too. Mykonos kinda resembles Santorini but not really. It does have gorgeous views with the water in the background.
