My husband and I booked our 5th Carnival cruise to celebrate our 4oth Anniversary and were not disappointed. Our previous 4 cruises with Carnival have incled two sailing the Carribean, one in the Mediterranean and one down to the Mexican Riviera. The Legend was first launched in 2003 by Dame Judy Dench and then was refurbished in 2009 to update for its move to Australia. We disembarked in Bora Bora after 12 great nights due to work commitments so did not sail the additional 6 days to Hawaii but feel 12 nights was enough for us as we prefer cruises with more stops and less days at sea. We had 5 stops at Noumea, Denaru, Papeete, Moorea and Bora Bora. We spent 5 nights and 2 lunches at their specialty restaurants to give a balance to dining at Truffles Restaurant and Lido Deck. Carnival offered a full programme throughout the day so we could be as busy or as laid back as we wanted to be on our sailing days.

It would be great to see more dining options for guests and I believe most would be happy to pay that extra. The Japanese Restaurant didn't seem to be all that popular with cruise guests and I believe if it was replaced with their Italian restaurant that is onboard other Carnival boats they would find this a better option both financially as well as popularity. This was one of the cleanest ships I have ever cruised and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The decor in the general areas and Lobby is somewhat outmoded and definitely needs a complete refurb as the "Las Vegas 80's"" look is definitely out. We has a balcony suite right near the lifts overlooking the lifts to the Lobby and find this a great location for us. Shows were enjoyable and thoroughly enjoyed our Chef's Table dinner. Well worth the $75pp inluding all wines. It would be good to see wine & beverage packages offered on the Legend like what is offered on other Carnival ships. Adults only Serenity Pool and Bar area was most enjoyable area and while in cruising days we used this area to relax quite a lot.

Great location forward right opposite lifts to Lobby - surprisingly quiet.
