Very nice port with allot of shopping and a very clean boardwalk/beach area. It almost seemed like there was a bar right next to every shop, so while the ladies were spending money, the men of our group could sit and have a cold one in the shade. The beach was very clean, but it was weird having to "rent" two lounge chairs and an umbrella for $10...apparently this is the norm. If you look hard enough, you can find the one guy who will get you the above mentioned with a bucket of 5 beers for the same price. Now thats a deal! 



St. Maarten

Dominica is a very beautiful island with lush rain forests and sulpher springs.  I highly recommend taking the 4 X 4 excursion to the rainforest.  Since we docked at 9AM and our excursion didn't leave until 1PM, we had time to walk around the port and do a little shopping.  The only turn off was the throng of locals trying to get you to go on a tour with them...most took "no" for an answer, but one guy imparticular "Joey" would not leave us alone.  He finally bugged off once the local police arrived.  Apparently this guy does not have the credentials to even be offering his services.  BEWARE of JOEY!

Dominica

We didn't go on any excursions on Grenada, instead opting to go to the local beach. There are two ways to get there, water taxi and ground taxi. I would recommend taking the ground taxi for $5 a person. Much quicker and safer than the water taxi. We took the water taxi to the beach, which took a half hour, where again we were greeted by a throng of people trying to get you to rent their 2 lounge chairs and umbrella for $20. Also, a person who would claim you as their customer and then be your waiter, brining you whatever you wanted from their bar. We had a rastafarian guy by the name of Franklin. Very nice and quick. When we were done on the beach we took the ground taxi back, which took 10 minutes, and went shopping at all of the local shops and stands surrounding the port before heading back to the ship. 



Grenada

No excursions here either, just opted to shop. Very nice and clean Dutch settlement with a local market and a small "mall" to do some shopping. If you want to shop, this is the place...depending on what you are looking for. Allot of local flavor and the souvenirs were very nice quality. The restaurants were very nice too. 



Bonaire

This, by far, was my favorite port. We went on the 5 hour sail, swim, snorkel cruise. Absolutely beautiful!! We cruised out to a reef on a 70 foot catamaran and snorkeled there for a half hour and then we went to a sunken ship, the Antilla, and snorkeled there as well. After that we went to a restaurant on a pier where we were served a lunch of BBQ chicken and ribs with corn on the cob, baked beans and a macaroni salad that was out of this world! When we were done with lunch, we had an hour to swim on the beach, jet ski and para-sail before heading back to the ship. After we were done snorkeling, we had an open bar on the boat. The crew of the catamaran was great, Andy, Andrew and Robinson. Robinson was the host and official spokesperson...very funny and entertaining...we had a marvelous time!!! 



Aruba

The cabin was very nice and my wife and I didnt seem like we were cramped at all.  Our stateroom attendant was always available and did a tremendous job making us feel at home.  Great view, nice private balcony.  Ample space under the bed to store our luggage.  Very quiet room.  Very comfortable.  Big closet.  Enough drawer space for one person.

Once we finally made it onto the ship, it was refreshing to have a gathering of the ships crew in the main lobby to welcome us aboard and offer us COMPLIMENTARY champagne and/or mamosas (NCL charged you right off the bat if you wanted a drink upon boarding).If he saw my wife and I get off the elevator, or saw us coming down the hallway, he rushed to meet us, open our cabin door and asked if we needed anything.
