Family cruise aboard the Oasis to the western Caribbean (Labadee, Jamaica and Cozumel). Party of 7 w/3 cabins, 12th deck, port side. Exactly what you'd expect , good food, good service. Some of the cocktails of the day seemed to lack some punch. I remember last cruise (Allure, Nov 2012) had stiffer daily drinks.

Labadee was just a RCCL owned beach resort area. I can't really say I saw Haiti. My son was in a suite so we got upgraded beach choice. We rented a cabana, incl floater mattresses and ice chest w/water. After 30 mins of Caribbean sun, I bailed (half Swedish....) Temps were hovering around 90 w/100% humility. It didn't take long for this SF Bay Area boy to get a steam bath. Food was served, simple selections, 2-3 beverage choices. There is an excursion that'll take you up into the hills and get you on a 1,350 ft zip line, 4 abreast. (~$105). Looked cool. The beach was very nice but enter/exiting water had meant you needed to walk on broken coral pieces thru soft sand. Hard to get your balance at times. Jet ski rentals were nearby. After 3-4 hrs I walked 1/4 mi back to ship. OMG, when I boarded, the escalator (yes, escalator on a cruise ship) entered an air conditioned enviro and oh, thank heaven.

In Falmouth, Jamaica we didn't use an RCCL tour, we got our own to a place called the Blue Lagoon. I know there are many places utilizing the name. We drove for over an hour thru Ocho Rios to a "mountain" road which quickly turned into a "limestone" dirt road. I mean 3-4 mph for 1 1/2 mi. There we paid $15 admission fees to a rudimentary facility. Their claim-to-fame is a river you can stroll up 50 yds to shallow areas. The water has a light blue caste to it probably due to the limestone.
