I've been on the Magic 4 times now and it is a beautiful ship! I love the entertainment and the food in the dining room is wonderful. I don't care for the buffet too much. If you go to the Italian restaurant during the day it is free! Key West is a lot of fun. We rented one of the electric cars for two and took a 3 hour drive around Key West by ourselves. It was 90 dollars and they give you a map of the town. We stopped and had lunch, went to the beach and just did a lot of sight seeing. It was great! Beats the heck out of walking or touring with a group. In Free Port we decided to get a cab to the Straw Market, casino and beach. It was 10 dollars round trip per person. I think that's cheaper than the excursion price. The beach was beautiful but choppy. They have a beach chairs and a little restaurant on it that cooks conch, burgers and seafood platters. BEST fish I've ever eaten!

In Nassau we took the excursion private beach with lunch. It was 4 1/2 hours but we think we got ripped off and only got 3 1/2 hours. Took a taxi boat to the beach which is around a 20 minute ride. The beach is beautiful with white sand and blue water. I was expecting some music and beach toys for kids. They don't have anything like that. Very quite and boring for kids. My husband and I enjoyed the walking on the beach and the lunch was pretty good. Drinks (non alcohol is 6.00) very expensive. So bring money if you plan on drinking. They don't let you bring food are drinks. The meal was that was provided is burger and fries or hot dog. Chicken tenders and fries and a few other items. I got chicken tenders and they were very good. When it was time to leave no one told us or came to get us. We just assumed when someone said I think that could be our taxi boat. They asked and told them yes. I hope everyone in our party left with us. Overall, I don't think I will do this excursion again. The weather in Key West got pretty bad as we were heading back to the boat. In Free Port is was real windy and cloudy and in Nassau we were hit with a big storm right as we left the beach. Shopping at all the ports were really nice. In Free Port at the Straw Market they can be real pushy and grab you to come into their little shop.

Debarkation in Galveston was a pain.....we were in the 10:00 am call to get off. We did not get to our car until after 12:00. We stood in line for over 2 hours with our luggage. I have cruised several time before and it went a lot faster. I love cruising and will continue to use Carnival. My next cruise is on the Carnival Freedom in November.
