We have cruised with Carnival 14-15 times and we found this last trip on the Valor disappointing. Our primary disappointment was with the entertainment and events on the ship. The shows on board were the same shows we've seen numerous times and didn't want to see them again. The comedy shows were also disappointing except for a comedian named B.T., who was very funny. It seemed that most of the entertainment was trivia. Normally we do bingo but it seemed like bingo was always during our dinner time. We weren't impressed by the cruise director, Calvyn, which we have sailed with before. We agreed that he is nice enough but the only time we saw him on this cruise was when he was on stage. We also felt that the cruise director could have kept us more informed. On past cruises we were reminded of various activities when leaving various ports, we heard very few announcements.

Second, when we arrived on the ship, we were sitting on the lido deck with our friends and started talking about dinner plans. We surprised to notice that not only were we on different dining room floors but entirely different dining rooms. We went and stood in a long line to see the Maitre' d and get the situation fixed. What was so disappointing about this was we have sailed with these friends for years and years and always book together, and this has never happened before. We assume that this had something to do with the ship being changed from the Liberty to Valor, which was another disappointment, as our friends hadn't had the Guy Fiero burgers yet, and were looking forward to this.

The crew as always were very helpful and nice. Our dining room staff was one of the best we've ever had. Our room steward was always very friendly, greeting each time he saw us. We did however notice that some crumbs had been missed on top of our vanity, we chalked this up to the crew having to get the room ready in a hurry. Everyday after that the room was very neat and clean.

Room was great! Plenty of room for our clothes, although we did bring extra hangers which really helps a lot! TV's in the rooms could really be a lot better. Brought fan from home, helped for time when we were getting ready and got overly warm. Otherwise temp was fine.
