We had a great time. There were amazingly calm seas. The dining room experience was good - they accommodated special (low sodium) diet issues and that was excellent. But the main dining room was often slow. So dinner took a couple of hours. The room stewards were wonderful. The room was always made up before we came back from breakfast. The Lido was great. My husband fell in love with the omelette lady - who prepared his omelettes perfectly and in an innovative way each day.
We enjoyed the lectures. I loved changing times in the middle of the day, my husband didn't. He felt it cut too much out of the day and he would have preferred it at night. I liked the sleep. Embarkation and disembarkation was as smooth as I've ever seen it. We noticed that the cabins were smaller than we were used to. Also there wasn't enough room in the movie theater or the digital workshop to accommodate people who wanted to be there. Great cruise.
Small. Adequate. Plenty of closet space.
We shared a cab with friends. It was fascinating. The ship stayed until the evening (10:30 pm), but we didn't. We found Gibraltar an intriguing city - loved the tunnels.
We went on our own, which is easy to do here. We took the shuttle bus provided by the ship for a fee, and there were long lines about that. Not smooth. But once in town, it was a very walkable city and we enjoyed it.
We debarked in Barcelona, and on our own toured the Gaudi Cathedral, and walked the Rambla. We happened to be there St. Jordi's Day, so enjoyed the festival of books and flowers. A beautiful city we'd like to see more of.
It is a beautiful city. We enjoyed the gardens. We walked around, took pictures, and enjoyed a relaxing day in the sun. There were excursions and another time we would take them. This cruise was for relaxing, and we relaxed and enjoyed Malaga.
We embarked in Ft. Lauderdale. We've been there before. We stayed at the Rodeway Inn, convenient to both airport (we got in late the night before) and the cruise port. That was smooth and nice. We made our own arrangements.
