The Good

Flight on the new Dreamliner was perfect! Free food and drink and lots of leg room. Great facilities meant the 9 hour flight passed quickly and with comfort.

The ship was very clean throughout and the crew went out of their way to make everything near perfect and to make you feel welcome. The staff always smiled asking if everything was OK and if something was amiss they fixed it. They all worked very hard to keep everything organised and tidy. The officers were polite and the activities and entertainment staff performances were excellent. Passengers were well cared for at all times. Ourselves and most people we spoke to were very impressed with the efforts of the crew. We tipped in recognition of this despite tips already being included in the package.

Cabin Review

Cabin Outside+

Cabin was roomy and cleaned regularly. Steward (Bam Bang) was excellent and he was tipped extra for his efforts. Our cabin window rim on the outside of the ship was cleaned with soapy water however the window itself was left dirty with drips of dried soap suds obscuring our view for the majority of the cruise. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The towels and bedding old and stained but clean.

Port Reviews

La Romana (Casa de Campo)

La Romana was a bad experience. As soon as we got off the shuttle we were met with very intimidating vendors trying to sell their wares. It was so bad that many passengers got straight back on the shuttle to return to the ship.

Gibraltar

Gibraltar was an excellent port for places to see but we had to be back onboard for 1:30pm which left no time to enjoy anything. We felt the ship had just stopped there to fill up on cheap fuel. What was annoying was the fact that we had to wait an extra two hours for the refuelling to finish meaning we could have spent the extra time on shore which would have been welcomed after 2 days at sea. That night the whole cabin rattled, keeping us awake, as the ship made up for lost time.
