Cabin: Mini Suite with Balcony and Bath/Shower

An excellent start to cruising. The flight from Manchester was ridiculously early which meant our first day was a bit of a washout as we were to tired to see Venice. This was made up for by the views from the balcony leaving port absolutely fantastic and made better by the free champagne. Embarkation was quick and efficient and our cabin was lovely.

Tours were very informative but the Monte Carlo tour is not really suitable for wheelchairs, neither is the Rome trip as we were rushed though the Vatican museum without seeing anything in order to meet the rest of the tour having used a lift and the roads were cobbled as you would expect. Monte Carlo can be done by yourself either by walking from the port or getting on the tour bus which is at the port. Montenegro was beautiful and can be experienced by yourself with the walled town just yards away from the ship however the tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Corfu was the highlight for us having arrived during a festival which made the trip but regardless, the town is beautiful and easily accessed on foot. The shops are lovely with a good range of leather and lace items. The monastery was just a small chapel and if you are an animal lover you too will be upset by the site of the cats with various injuries and the smell was unbearable. The trip to the vineyard was informative but the only thing we saw was a warehouse/shed full of wine. The food and wine provided was delicious but having bought 6 bottles of wine we didn't realise they sold us wine of a different vintage which was undrinkable and not what we had tasted.

We had freedom dining which suited us fine being able to dine when we wanted. We found the food to be of a very good standard and the staff, polite, efficient, helpful and friendly. The plaza was a bit of a free for all and while the food was acceptable it is nowhere near the same experience as dining in the restaurants. The staff were of the same standard as everywhere else but a lot of the clientele lacked manners with people pushing in, grabbing food with their hands and little or no patience. It was a bit of a bun fight. The bar staff ensured our glasses were never empty. My husband bought a wine deal which had a good range of wines and I tried the cocktails, the pina coladas are delicious.

Cabin Review

Mini Suite with Balcony and Bath/Shower

Cabin BA

Our cabin was at the back of the ship which was great when arriving and leaving ports. The views are amazing. It was a mini suite and the extra lounge room was spacious and well equipped. We were met with champagne, chocolates and flowers. The balcony takes 4 loungers with tables and is great for a bit of sunbathing as it is not overlooked. The bathroom had a separate toilet and both are a good size with a large spa bath and separate shower. The bed was very comfortable. Our steward was Elvis and nothing was ever too much trouble.
