Sail Date: Apr 2015

We have been cruising since early in the 1990's, and have cruised with RCCL, NCL, HAL, Celebrity and Carnival but this was our first cruise on Princess. Our favorite is HAL, and would sail again on all, with the exception of Carnival.

We chose this cruise for 2 primary reasons - 1st it was a round trip from San Francisco so were were able to get to the port without spending an entire day flying, and 2nd we wanted to see what Princess had to offer. We enjoyed the cruise very much, but there were some things that could have been better. With that being said, we will definitely be cruising on Princess again.

The Star Princess is a very nice ship overall and was in very good shape. Very clean and well maintained. The ship's layout seemed a little off. There were a number of locations that were somewhat difficult to get to (Amalfi Dining Room for example). There were several areas where you had to go to another deck, and then take the stairs to get there. Ofter could not tell when elevators arrived and in which direction they were going due to location of markers and lack of a "chime".
