In spite the size of the Allure and in spite of just having one port of call (Malaga) the cruise was very entertaining and enjoyable. There were a variety of things to do that kept the guests busy the whole time. The staff were friendly and very accommodating till the last day when the ball was dropped. It seemed like during the disembarkation day the left hand did not know what the right hand was doing. A lot of guests were scheduled to disembark early (between 6:30 - 7 AM) due to early flights back home or excursions in Barcelona. The Daily Planner listed the different places where to grab an early breakfast but somehow what was posted and what actually was the operating hours were not the same. Park Café was supposed to serve breakfast starting at 6AM but did not open till 7. One staff said it was supposed to open at 6:30 while a supervisor so rudely came out to tell the waiting guests that they were not opening till 7. All the waiting guests had to go to rush to the Windjammer where there was a shortage of staff plus some of the hot entrees were cold. Got to the theater were there was chaos. It felt like the staff were too anxious to get rid of the passengers (probably because they were going to dry dock after our cruise). I will not want to book another cruise on a ship that is going to dry dock afterwards.
Nice and clean but do not book this particular cabin as the window is directly over the trellis in Central Park. I suggest a few cabins down to clear the trellis to have an unobstructed view.
Since there are so many ships sailing out of Fort Lauderdale, the staff there are used to big crowds. They had the lines moving steady from the minute you drop your bags with the porters, through security and finally to the desk where you get your seapass. The personnel working the lines are efficient and friendly.
