We stayed 2 nights in The Clarian on Canal street prior to the cruise and it was very convenient to EVERYTHING by foot and only a few minutes driving to the port.

My husband and I arrived to the port about 11:30am and walked right thru without any delays. We did not do the FTTF, but our cabin (see my review of cabin 2216. Our cabin attendant did a marvelous job taking care of us) was ready and we dropped off our carry on's prior to eating lunch. We had lunch in the buffet and it was delicious.

We usually always had "brunch" in the buffet because we are not early risers while on vacation.

Cabin Review

Interior Upper/Lower

Cabin 1A

The cabin is very convenient to the stairs and elevators. My husband and I stayed in this cabin and had plenty of room. It is portside and had two port windows. The cabin door opens to the left from the hall. There are 3 large closets to the left behind the cabin door. 2 hanging closets and 1 shelf closet. There were about 10 hangers in each hanging closet. The bathroom is to the right when you walk in the cabin. There is a large marble sink and vanity and that wall is covered with a mirror and 6 shelves for personal items. The couch is already set up with a bed if 2 perople are sharing a cabin. I slept on the couch bed and it was fairly firm the first night, so for the 2nd night I had the room steward put additional padding on it and it was much more comfortable after that. There are 2 large drawers under the couch/bed. There were plenty of drawers and shelves in the desk vanity with a huge mirror. There is a refrigerator behind one of the cabinet doors. There is a hair dryer in cabin. There is only one U.S. outlet, so we used our power strip. There is one coffee table and one night stand. Each bed/couch had its own night light. There is a nice size flat screen tv in cabin. There are 2 robes available in cabin. There are 2 large hooks on bathroom door and 2 in cabin for hanging items. We could hear the waves crashing against the front of the ship, which at first was very distracting, but we never lost any sleep because of it. The hall was very quiet without much foot traffic.
