My husband and I went on the April 19-26 Eastern Caribbean RC Freedom of the Seas 7 night cruise leaving out of Port Canaveral. We had cabin 8660 that was an aft cabin with a balcony. We loved the location because we were close to the elevators without being right on top of cleaning closets or entryways to the hall. We walked to our 4th floor late seating and only used the elevators which could be slow, when we had to go up several floors. The cabin was wonderful, as was our daily room service for coffee, pastries, and fresh fruit, which we enjoyed on our balcony. The promenade had nice shopping selections, and we frequented the pizza parlor every afternoon, for a slice. We purchased the soda package, but won't the next time, as we found we didn't use it much. There was plenty of space for our belongings, and the shower water pressure was excellent. The cabin was regularly attended for tidying and nightly bedding turndown service. Our transportation was excellent from MCO airport and back. Embarkation and disembarkation was efficient and I highly recommend using a porter at disembarkation to move quickly through customs. My husband, a first time cruiser who vowed that this was a one time only cruise (I'd been begging him to go for 38 years of marriage) now talks often of what our next cruises will be. He enjoyed several excursions involving snorkeling, and purchased his own snorkeling equipment on the ship, as it was only $67. and the first day renting, he'd paid $37. to rent. The dining was excellent. Food, service, ambiance, was everything we could have hoped for. We didn't do much of the entertainment offerings, but regularly used the casino. We can't wait to plan and go on our next cruise with RC. We've both joined their club to receive the perks and special offerings for the next time.

Cabin D2

Great location. Close to elevator, and between cabin floors. No noise from above or below. Large balcony. Attendant was fabulous.
