First let me say that I read a lot of negative reviews so I went in with low expectations. I've been on Carnival before so I have something to compare this cruise it. We sailed out of NYC during spring break (Easter week) since the kids (ages 7 and 10) had off from school. The parking was very convenient (yet expensive, $300 for the week but hey, it's NY). Got right on the ship despite being 5K passengers. It was chilly so we couldn't do too much outside that first day we left, but got the run of the ship and did get to take a photo right in front of the Statue of Liberty from out balcony. The ship is big, which is good because there are a lot of people but it didn't at all feel crowded. I was worried because my kids wanted to go to kids club and there were 1600 kids on board! But we had no problems.

Here's the lowdown:

Balcony Stateroom

Great space for four people. Room steward was great. Balcony was spacious and beautiful.
