My husband and I just finished our Easter Caribbean journey aboard the Oasis of the Seas on April 18th sailing. This vacation was to celebrate our honeymoon and my husband's birthday. We had an excellent time and I am going to tell you all about it in detail:

EMBARKATION:

We booked our flight on the day off the embarkation and thankfully all was in order and we made it to Ft.Lauderdale airport and cruise port before 1pm. The travel time from the Ft.Lauderdale airport to cruise port was about 5-10 mins depending on traffic. I strongly suggest not to spend your money on RCL transfers because those are pricey ($30/person each way) and for the price of $12-15 you can take a taxi and its a lot faster and efficient that way. I am pleased to confirm that Royal Caribbean does a wonderful job at check in. From the moment we got to terminal 18 (RCL terminal for OASIS class ships) to boarding the ship took us no more than 20 minutes! Very smooth and problem free, just need to make sure to have all the required documents on hand to expedite the check in process. We boarded the ship around 1:30pm.

Cabin Review

Central Park View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin C1

We had booked a Central Park mid-ship deck 12 balcony cabin #12587 and I am very glad we did. Was quiet and the location of the cabin was very close to the elevators and stairs. The location was also very convenient to Central Park as it was on deck 8 and Royal Promenade decks 5-6. The cabin space is enough for two people, the bed was closer to the balcony and the couch closer to the closet making it easy to get to our things. I would recommend this location.
