My wife and I have cruised on the Summit before out of San Juan. We knew what to expect with the embarkation, the shore excursions and the ship itself. With that said, the cruise exceeded our expectations.
We spent the night before the cruise in Old San Juan at a small bed and breakfast, the Villa Herencia. There are only 6 rooms and the service was wonderful. We will stay there again. At the noon check out we shared a cab to the cruise terminal with another couple. Embarkation was fast and easy. There was no waiting in line, we were on board by 12:30.
We stopped b y the Oceanview and grabbed a bite to eat, then went to our room.

The cabin exceeded our expectations. The service provided by our butler was the best we have experienced. He tailored his service to meet our personality. The room was spacious, if you can call a cabin on a ship spacious. The cabin was quiet, the view from the balcony was nice.
