Lets start! This was my 7th cruise and 5th with NCL. The other two with Carnival. I LOVE NCL. There is something about the way the NCL staff that treat you amazing. We are in our late 30s and loved the Getaway. Very clean and still very new. We had an amazing aft balcony room 9318. We could have fit 20 people on our balcony and with room to move around. We had the all you could drink package thrown in for free which was super. We ate at all the free restaurants every night except once we went to Teppanyaki and it was delicious. Mostly we had the buffet for lunch and Taste or Savor for dinner. Osheenigans was great for the midnight munchies. Taste, Savor and the Tropicana Room have the same exact menu so just pick a place you like. The prime rib was perfect and they also had a shrimp and short rib dinner that was A plus ! For a quick great lunch hit Flamingo Grill on deck 16 for some great Cuban food.

We paid for no excursions but did get off at every island. In St Maarten we took the water taxi to the beach for 7 dollars each round trip. Beach is clean fun and close to the boat so you can spend many hours there. In St. Thomas we took a 4 cab into downtown to shop and than took a cab to Sapphire Beach which was beautiful and clean. On our last island the Bahamas we got off the ship, walked down to the straw market did some shopping and then proceeded to walk into town to grab the number 10 bus for $1.25 and take it to Cable Beach. The water is the nicest water I have ever been in the Carribbean. On the way back we stopped at the fish fry and got some seafood before heading back to the boat. On days we were at sea we stayed at Spice H20 a lot because its kid free that is wonderful. I was nervous to take this cruise because there were so many passengers but getting on and off this cruise was easier than anyone I have ever been on. We walked off on the last day. We left our room at 8:15 and were outside waiting for a cab by 8:45. Super job by everyone there. Cant wait until next year.
