Embarkment was a breeze. We arrived at the port around 10:30 am. We needed to put our credit card on our account since we were unable to do it online due to a software glitch on the RCC site so after checking in with the representative we walked right on board. We had a scheduled departure time of 11:15 but just as we began walking toward the holding pen they called us. Things were off to a good start. We met a few Cruise Critic friends as we walked to the ship and our vacation began!

We decided rather than going to Windjammer we would check out 270. What a beautiful room with a small café like Park Café on Oasis class ships. We enjoyed a little roast beef sandwich and nice salad while we met other friends. Around 1:00 we were able to get into our room and drop off our carry ons which was a big relief since my husband needs to carry on his golf clubs because Royal will not check them anymore which is a pain in the butt. Shortly after dropping off our stuff we began to explore our beautiful home for the next 12 nights!
