We booked this cruise at the last minute and got a good deal with the beverage and dining package thrown in. We live about 90 mins from Barcelona so we were easily boarded by 12.30.The Spirit is a nice ship but shows its age in places. The signage is very poor and some of the lighting too dim.
Our Cabin OB5100 was fine. Very clean, not enormous, a little worn but otherwise fine.
We've cruised with NCL before and love the lack of formality. We ate at all the extra dining options and some were better than others. Shogun is now complimentary and it shows, not a patch on the meal we had on the Epic last year. The Tappenyiki was fine but really only a one-off experience. We really enjoyed the Italian and went twice. The Bistro wasn't very good at all. The seats were too low for the tables, the service slow and the food just average. My lamb was well done when I asked for it red, but I didn't want to wait another 20 mins for it to be done again. We loved Cagneys. The food was fabulous and the service great. The only minor complaint was the really dim lighting!!

Mid-Ship Oceanview Picture Window
This cabin is fine for 2 people. We had the bed changed from 1 big one to 2 singles and it gave a lot more room to move round. There was plenty of storage and although the bathroom was small, the shower was nice and big with great water power!!
You need to check just where you are docked before opening the curtains in the morning!!!!
Our cleaner Flavia was very good at keeping the room spotless.

Tenerife
WE just got the port shuttle and then had a slow rabble up and down the front. Saw some brilliant yarn bombed trees, then coffee and wi fi. It seemed very scruffy around the port area, but it is being improved.
