The total experience with diamond princess was satisfactory. The food is good, the cabin is nice and adequate, the crew are very accommodating and hospitable. The one problem is the engine trouble we had that caused a missed port. We were expecting 3 ports missing one is a huge disappointment. Another problem is the late advice on disembarkation procedures and very early check out.

Port & Shore Excursion Reviews

  • Imperial Hue
Too hot and humid. Not a place i would like to visit again. Very ancient place and thus a bit morbid. I had eaten pho and bum here and bother are delicious, but i would prefer pho. The noodles are inexplicably thin and light. However, the weather is not something that i would brave again.

Very good tour guide named henry. Despite the hot and humidity, the overall place gave a good impression and i really enjoyed the small town. The food is great, the fruits are sweet and fresh. A very refreshing experience.

We disembarked here. The cruise center is very far from civilization. It is not accessible to public transportation. Also, there are sponsored shuttle bus but sadly they are sponsored and commissioned to take guests to the malls more than other destinations. If they had just devoted all the buses to that mall thereby avoiding confusions and wait for other passengers, it would have made everyone happier. Also the disembarking process for the following day was announced later that day which made it a scramble for those who enjoyed a early morning shop and late night out in town. Disembarkation was set at 715 onwards but didnt start to move til almost 8am, most of the disembarking passengers werent able to take breakfast. They did serve coffee at the disembarkation lounge, they might as well have serve some breakfast to go or some bread. Overall, the disembarkation procedure is not a happy one, thereby ending the wonderful cruise unhappy.
