I boarded the Megallan in Dundee and our cruise finished in Newcastle. Boarding was very easy and quick, leaving was even quicker as we had a train to catch and the staff ensured we got off early so we could catch it. All of the staff on board the ship were excellent, all spoke English well and they had clearly been trained in customer service.

Our Cabin was spotless with very comfy beds and lovely new cotton sheets, good quality duvets and pillows. We had a power shower and were issued with clean towels every day. We had first sitting in the Kensington Restaurant. Each evening we had a wonderful five course hot meal with coffee. The service was excellent and the food good quality. Breakfast was a bit of a free for all though, food was good and plentiful but we preferred to eat at Raffles for breakfast, as you could have as much tea and juice as you wished. We also had afternoon tea and lunch at Raffles because it was less formal. You can also eat outside on the deck if you wish. There is lots of food, with lots of choice.

Furthermore, for £17 a day you can drink as much wine, cocktails, soft drinks, beers and spirits as you wish. The red house wine is very drinkable!
