Second time on the Sky, last time was before it was refurbished and our previous issues had been resolved. There were more tables near the pool area, plenty of chairs to sun oneself. We had a promotional dining package and ate at Cagneys every evening with excellent food and service .. The entertainment was good, the comedian was actually funny. There still were parents bringing their children to the front row of the 9:30p show and wre not asked to relocate so he had to censor some of his material. The music was good, the cruisers were on the younger side.. 30's and 40's, so it was a livlier cruise, the staff were all very friendly and we didnt find the constant hounding to buy or attend special sales. The ship is smaller then many we have cruised on but it was big enough for a 4-day cruise with no sea days. Food at the buffet and complimentry restaurants was average. They stopped giving chocolates in our room in the evening..guess a few pennies saved. Great stirrp cay was much nicer then we expected, boarding and unboarding was the easiest ever.
Noisy in the morning from something mechanical with the ship.
The island was much nicer then we expected...lots of room, good bbq for lunch, activities were available. We took the tram ride and there was this beautiful beach away from the crowds with beach chairs but no food/drinks available...next time we will eat lunch and then go there.
Walked around the port area, not much to see unless you are interested in shopping for souveniers. Would have stayed on the boat but wanted to see if things had changed from prior visits.
Big ship port so interesting to observe from the ship so dont have to leave the ship. Nothing within walking distance so it was an excursion or a taxi.
Port of miami is so much easier to get to now that the tunnel is open...no longer have to negotiate the streets. We have stayed in miami (south beach) before but now just go there to board the ship.
