We noticed immediately that cruise companies cater to people who like gamble and smoke because on the Jewel, Deck 6 is where the casino is located. And adjacent to the casino was the theater, the smoke would invade into that area and it would be very uncomfortable.
Another area that made us uncomfortable was on Deck 12 near the Spa where the ladies who hang out like "hookers" enticing you into the spa. My wife would not even go near that area even if it was close to the pool.
We liked the Deck 7, Promenaded Deck but since it was a smoking deck we could not find a place to relax away from the people went there to smoke.
