I have been on more than 10 cruises with 6 different cruise lines. I was not prepared for our cruise with Cuba Cruise. The best thing about this cruise was the itinerary. I loved Cuba.

I was disappointed in so many things.

Free coffee or tea was not available outside dining hours. I thought this was ridiculous. Every ship I have ever been on has a beverage station that offered coffee, tea, iced tea and water. If you wanted a cup of coffee you paid for it. I've never heard of such a thing. There were no snacks available between meals. I was starved between meals. Room service was costly. I had to ask a bar server for water. The food was very good but I was disappointed in the menu. Every cruise I have been on I have had lobster on formal night and a crab dish at least one other night. Not on this ship. I thought the menu very limited and found myself often struggling with what to order as the options were not too pleasing. I don't like the idea of a different table every every night. I like getting to know my waiter and my waiter getting to know me. The drinks were very expensive. The coffee was the best I've ever had a on a ship though. The entertainment was great the 1st night. The dancers are incredible. But after every night it got a little old. We ended up skipping a few nights. I think they should try to supply a little variety, maybe a comedian or game show or something. The ship itself was small and quaint, very clean. Staterooms very clean. I went into the gift shop once and found everything so expensive I never went back. This is unusual for me as I tend to shop a lot in the gift shops. Although the boat boasts about being Canadian and everything in Canadian dollars I was surprised that the casino only took Euros. The slot machines also had minimums which I found strange. Didn't go there again. My most disappointment was when we arrived 5 minutes late on formal night. Dinner was at 6:15 yet the website and our booking confirmation said 6:30. When we arrived at 6:35 thinking we were 5 minutes late we were not allowed in. We were in our formal wear and told to eat at the buffet. We ended coming back starved at 8:15 to try and find a table. I did not find that this ship offers a lot of the little perks and things that other cruise lines do so was quite disappointed. I will also mention that this was one of the most expensive cruises we have been on as well. Not good value for your money in my opinion. Having said that I thought it was a great way to see Cuba.
