This was my second cruise, and my wife’s third, and all have been with Norwegian. Our last cruise was on the Getaway, May 2014, and my wife cruised the Med on Epic about 4 years ago. Our experiences on these much newer and MUCH larger vessels may have slightly swayed our opinion of this cruise. We found ourselves comparing the overall décor, selection of activities, number of restaurants, etc. However, by the end of the cruise we both commented that we could easily overlook those minor things because we still had a FABULOUS time on the Sky.
The level of the service, the variety and quality of the food, the fantastic beverages, and the overall fun-filled freestyle atmosphere were identical to what we experienced on those larger ships. We could easily see ourselves cruising on this class of ship again (although we’ve already booked a Getaway cruise, Apr 2016).
The Ultimate Beverage Package being offered as a free option is an amazing deal! We paid $299+tax (US) for the cruise, and our bar bill (we added up all the receipts) totalled nearly $900 US. This included top-shelf selections, like single malt scotch, that you'd pay $15-40 per ounce in most bars (if you could find them).

The cabin was a little smaller than that on the Getaway, but we expected it so were not discouraged. There were fewer electrical outlets (again, compared to Getaway) to recharge all of our electronics but we worked around that. Everything else was quite nice, just a little more dated than Getaway. If we had never sailed on the Getaway and Epic before this cruise, then the Sky would have seemed quite wonderful.
