Recently back from our cruise...5 day out of Miami...4/13/15 -4/18/15. After Carnival changed our itinerary 3 times and hadnt refunded our excursions yet we set out to cruise. We opted for suite 7317. Nice cabin, plenty of space, nice balcony, has been well loved over the years. It was it's 3rd trip after dry dock and was fine. Ship shuddered a lot though. Great weather and smooth ride considering the shudders. Embarkation was quick and painless. On ship early. We bee-lined for the excursion desk and got an excursion set up for one of the ports. Cabin wasn't ready til well after we were on and brought our carry on with us to lunch etc. Food was good. Waiters (Budi-Budi and his team) were awesome in dining room. Cabin steward was good but never officially met him. All the staff aboard was good....stopped in Grand Cayman and walked the city, nice...typically the beachy tourist town. Ate at Paradise for lunch. Right by ocean, relaxed atmosphere, food was 'eh' 2 burgers fries and 2 drinks 60 bucks. Wait staff not great and slow service. But it was ok. Jamaica next. An excursion to a private beach with drinks and lunch. It was the best ever! Little villas, one open for bathroom, bedroom if you had to lay down, small kitchen and nice veranda. All was great! Remainder of cruise was good. Debarkation was quick and easy. To the airport and home. Great time...would recommend Carnival to anyone. Only drawback were some inconsiderate mouthy young people with "entitled" attitudes who seemed to be everywhere and really made the cruise uncomfortable in that area. Couldn't behave nicely, no manners, pushy and snotty. Guess money for a cruise can't buy you class eh? LOL!

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

Nice cabin, well worn so don't expect new or newly refurbished. Great area though, not too much traffic or noise from anything. Bed was comfy, nice and clean. Make up vanity area was great, plenty of closet space except for closet in vanity area, weird set up and couldn't really use the hanging space. Bathroom was good, clean, accessible. Hard to get in and out of tub as it was high sided (a note for older people or those with a handicap). Had a mini fridge that was okay, not real cold but better than nothing. Couch was pretty worn, but comfy. Balcony always had a foul odor when we first went out on it...no clue why. Overall though, seriously, a good cabin.

Port Reviews

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Had to be tendered to and from ship. Fairly easy process as long as you are agile enough to board a slightly moving boat. If weather was nice, it was easy ride. Port area was nice, wandered out into surrounding city. ..nice, cleanish, felt safe, didn't do excursion or beach.

Miami

Only in Miami long enough to enter terminal and board ship. Most people were indifferent or slightly rude. No big deal, we got where we needed to go. Whisked through terminal to priority area waiting, checked in efficiently, waited to be boarded and quickly boarded onto the ship.
