WE stayed at Cambria Suites before the cruise. Excellent hotel, and we loved the room setup. It was like a mini suite with bed room and separate sitting area with its own tv. No fighting over what to watch...lol. We choose Celebrity to do our 25th anniversary cruise, and I made sure they were aware it was out anniversary. Not one person on the ship even said Happy Anniversary, so I guess that was an omen. I really thought they would at least leave a message in cabin, or even a bottle of wine....nothing.
That being said, we did have a great time. The ship is still in great shape, and most of the staff are great. Our room stewards ...Michelle and Clyde were wonderful, and very attentive. We were really impressed with Francisco and his assistant in the main dining room. We had select dining, and as we all know, that doesn't ever go well, but he made it worth the wait. One of the people in the photo gallery (Nikola) really went out of his way to help us. So it seems the staff is really improving since the last time we sailed Celebrity.
The food on board was average...really nothing great. We ate in all three prime dining rooms, but they also, were nothing special. Service was outstanding, but food leaved a lot to be desired (especially when you are paying extra). I guess its worth the ambiance and service to try to use them. The food is good, just not GREAT. I guess I expect a lot when paying $70-90 a couple EXTRA to eat there. The little healthful food area near the spa was the worst service on the ship. I tried twice to eat lunch there, and both times ended up leaving because of service.
