Just returned from the Hawaiian Pride of America Cruise and i can't begin to tell you how disappointed i was . The first & foremost if your a smoker don't go on this cruise. We we stuck on the 13th floor way in the back of the ship. This was the ONLY designated smoking area . Our cabin was on deck 4 at the other end of the ship so if we wanted to smoke we had quite the journey to go have one. On the 13th floor is where the smoke stack to the ship is and the venting for the food. Their is NO way you can get away from the smell of grease from the food being cooked, It was so bad it would actually turn my stomach . Their was no entertainment on the 13th floor at any time besides a DJ t certain times. The lack of cleanliness was mortifying. The coffee on the 13th deck was always cold so u had to travel to deck 11 to refill your cup. The public bathrooms around the ship were disgusting !! The activities on the ship were very limited. The entertainment o.k but very limited. The 7 days we were on the ship we went to 1 magic show 1 movie in the theater and saw 1 comedian . We were in bed by 10 that's how boring it was. The food .... OMG !!! Awful in the buffet . First & foremost it closed at 9 . One night my husband & i went for a crepe @ 10 of 9 , 2 people in front of us and we were told she closed at 9 and couldn't make us one. I was mortified being told she wouldn't make us one especially when we were the last 2 in line. The variety of choices were extremely limited and most of the time was a lot of repeat items . We spent a lot of time in the cafe that was open 24 hrs and a good duration of my cruise i ate peanut butter & jelly sandwiches and chicken wings . As far as Hawaii... Well that was just AMAZING !!!

Don't waste your money

  • Island Tour
Went all over the island. Our tour guide was wonderful. We went on the tour from the local farmers market. We went to the Macadamia factory , saw the black sand beach, turtles, water falls and so on.

This was the best part of our trip. We rented scooters for $35.00 from Scooter Rentlez... The gentlemen who owned this company was above excellent. He helped us in any way possible, even walked with me while i test drove the scooter, the customer service was outstanding. They are located in the back of all the shops, he is the cheapest on the island for rentals .

Went to the movies because their wasn't much to do locally. You had to take a bus about an hour away to see parts of the island. My husband & i decided because it was Easter Sunday we were just gonna veg and see a movie
