As always, we believe a cruise is the way to go. This was my 6th cruise but first with NCL. The ship is beautiful and clean. The workers are awesome. Joel the cruise director and his team are GREAT!! Everyone was always happy and friendly and ready to spread the joy. The buffet was better than on other cruise lines we have been on. I felt the included dining rooms could have been better, but overall were satisfied. My score for this ship comes down when I think of all the "extras" that abound. Too many extra dining rooms, a bar you have to pay to go in. Coffee bars, cake decorating classes, mojito tastings, ships tours, bingo, game shows, magic shows....all of which have a fee. Most of the other ships I have been on don't have all these extra charges, except for the specialty dining. It just got a bit much.

My only other problem was that there really is only one pool, and it is way too small for a ship carrying 4500 people. Between 11-3 good luck getting a spot unless you get on deck before 10 to save a spot. Of course we had a great time. The on/off was easy and quick. The excursions were great. If you don't have a good time on a cruise, you are doing something wrong. I was curious to see if I would become a die hard NCL goer after this, and I am definitely not. I would go again if the price is right, but they didn't completely steal me away.

Cabin Review

Inside Stateroom

Our first time having an inside cabin, and we were pleasantly surprised. It was very small, but that was expected. We are rarely in the room anyway, so that wasn't important to us. The bed was VERY comfortable, and it was quiet and we didn't notice much sway. Would do it again when we are looking for affordability over luxury.
